Garlic Shrimp With Asparagus

A simple, quick dinner with lemony shrimp and asparagus
Ingredients
- Unsalted butter - 3 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
- Garlic (minced) - 5 cloves
- Asparagus tips - 8 ounces
- Shrimp (peeled & deveined) - 1 lb
- Fresh lemon juice - 1/4 cup
- Salt (to taste)
- Pepper (to taste)
- Red pepper flakes (to garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Add the olive oil and butter to your cast iron Dutch oven and heat over medium-high heat.
- Add the asparagus and garlic to the pot and cook for about 3 minutes.
- Move asparagus to a side and add the shrimp.
- Cook each side for about 2 minutes.
- Add in the lemon juice and cook for additional 1 minute.
- Season with pepper and salt.
- Serve.
