Hot Italian Provolone Chicken Dutch Oven

A simple italian chicken dish with lots of cheese
Ingredients
- Avocado oil - 3 tablespoons
- Italian seasoning - 1 tablespoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Chicken breast (cubed) - 1 lb
- Banana pepper rings - ½ cup
- Whole pitted black olives - ¼ cup
- Large tomato (quartered) - 1
- Shredded provolone - 1 cup
Instructions
- Preheat the oven broiler to high.
- Add the avocado oil, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and the cubed chicken to a bowl and toss to coat.
- Allow the chicken to marinate for about 10 minutes (you can also marinate overnight).
- Heat your cast iron over medium heat.
- Add the chicken mixture and cook for about 8 minutes. Flip occasionally until it cooks through.
- Add in the black olives, banana pepper rings, and tomato.
- top with the provolone.
- Transfer the pot to the oven and cook for about 5 minutes, until the cheese starts to bubble.
- Serve.
