Cook time: 30 min
Servings: 2
In-N-Out animal style fries made high protein — crispy seasoned fries topped with lean seasoned beef, caramelized balsamic onions, melted cheese, and a tangy copycat animal sauce.

Instructions

  1. Cut potatoes into thin fry shapes, toss with paprika and cooking spray. Air fry at 200°C/400°F until crispy, ~20–25 min, shaking halfway. Season with salt while hot.
  2. Mix baking soda into the ground beef before cooking to keep it from drying out. Cook beef in a sprayed pan over medium-high heat, breaking it up, then season with smoked paprika, garlic powder, and salt.
  3. For the onions, sauté diced shallots with a pinch of salt until soft, add balsamic and brown stevia, and cook down until caramelized.
  4. Whisk together all animal style sauce ingredients until smooth.
  5. Plate the fries, top with beef, lay cheese slices over the hot beef to melt, add caramelized onions, and drizzle with animal style sauce. Serve fresh.
