Lean Burger and Air Fryer Fries
Cook time: 20 min
A lean 93/7 beef burger on a keto bun with american cheese, pickles, and basic condiments, served alongside oil-light air fryer fries seasoned with garlic and paprika.
Ingredients
- 150g 93/7 ground beef
- 1 slice american cheese (~60 cal)
- 1 keto bun (~60 cal)
- 1 tsp ketchup
- 1 tsp yellow mustard
- 3 pickle chips
- 1 medium russet potato (~200g)
- 2 sprays avocado oil
- Salt, to taste
- Garlic powder, to taste
- Paprika, to taste
Instructions
- Cut the potato into fries (no need to peel). Soak in cold water for 10 minutes if you want them crispier, then pat dry.
- Air fry the fries plain at 400°F for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and crisp.
- While the fries cook, form the ground beef into a patty slightly wider than the bun (it’ll shrink).
- Cook the patty in a hot pan or on a griddle, about 3-4 minutes per side for medium. Top with american cheese in the last minute to melt.
- Toast the keto bun if desired. Spread ketchup and mustard on the bun, add the patty, top with pickle chips, and close.
- When the fries are done, transfer to a bowl, hit them with a couple quick sprays of avocado oil, then toss with salt, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Serve the burger with the fries.
